Aula d'idiomes

L’Aula d’Idiomes is a non-profit work cooperative that offers workshops in Basque, Arabic, Moroccan Arabic or Darija, Galician, Catalan, Italian, Spanish, German, French and English at La Comunal de Sants (Metro Badal/Plaça de Sants). We also offer translation and linguistic advice services in different languages.

Our project was born in 2014 with the intention of offering a horizontal and quality language teaching-learning space based on the principles of self-management and direct democracy, anti-capitalism and a critical pedagogy with a decolonial and feminist perspective.

The cooperative model is the most suitable scaffolding to build an assembly-based and transformative project that aims to create dignified and non-competitive work, respectful of the environment and organized collectively. Far from the competitive tendency of the capitalist system, it is based on mutual support and the strengthening of social and solidarity economy networks from the territory. The Impuls Cooperatiu de Sants, of which we are part as a cooperative, is a paradigmatic case.
